Hercules and Love Affair's frontman/women/other Antony and his/hers/its side band. Nice and quiet, but edgy and mysterious.
Get your mits on this CD before summer and your wildest dreams will come true.
Just picked this up a couple of days ago and only really listened start to finish once but it certainly left an impression. I can't wait to get a spare moment to sit down with the instrumental melodies again.
This one sounds like Regina Spektor after a couple of champagnes with Arethra Franklin. Yes, bubbly describes it well. Not very often a CD comes with complimentary smiles and sunshine and happiness.
My favourite CD this year so far. Honourable mentions to Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, the Decemberists, The Dirty Projectors and David Byrne and Sufjan Stevens. I've forgotten what all other CDs sound like, this is all I've been hearing!
