WES ANDERSON

So this is me going through my Wes Anderson fascination phase that was rekindled (or birthed) when I watched The Darjeeling Limited the other day. For those of you unfamiliar with the work of this filmic genius he is the brains behind the aforementioned Darjeeling Limited, The Royal Tenenbaums and more notably the incredible Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. Mr. Anderson never fails to make a film that is beautiful to look at for it's use of colours and camera angles and techniques. He sticks to a similar cast in his movies for their undeniable cohesion that often includes Owen Wilson, Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman and the incredible Adrian Brody. If you haven't had the pleasure of seeing his films please go to the video shop and hire one. It's Friday evening as I write this which is all the more reason to.

Here is a short advertisement for American Express with Wes Anderson. It's somewhat mutually exclusive from his films but pleasant to see all the same and has that ingrained satirical element and calming unknowing that has never failed to seriously pique my intrigue.
