AnOther Tarantino Immaculate Installment

RUNNING a little late with the whole Inglorious Basterds bandwagon, but in fact it could not have come into my life at a better time as it earns itself the title of my favourite movie of 2009. In flawless Tarantino fashion the blood and guts fly (literally) leaving you begging for more gorgeous European women and gory Nazi executions. Tarantino, as he does so well, spares us the antagonist/protagonist platform of hollywood dribble and serves up a steamy plate of... downright blasphemy? Undeniably this movie is made by it's dialogue. I note from scene numero uno the captivating comical swagger of SS officer Landa (played by one of the Roth brothers (not Tim)) and his artfully written and meticulously executed dialogue. Honourable mentions to Brad Pitt for embodying the American 'saves the day' arrogant attitude in a flawless almost deadpan character and to the character Mademoiselle Emmanuelle Mimioux (whose real name escapes me) for being utterly gorgeous. Beautifully constructed. Well done sir, well done.

On the contrary, Public Enemies was utter shit. Don't bother. I hope Johnny Depp doesn't plan on ODing on, what was it? Quaaludes and Redbull or Xanax and red wine? anytime soon, because P.E won't be receiving any posthumous accolades. Put that one to bed already. (No pun intended).

Goodnight movie buffs.
