Going To The Picture Theatre

Do you ever have those creative artistic moments where your inner Jackson Pollock is screaming to be let out in a splash of vibrant colour? Or your Max Dupain influence has you urging to scale a gargantuan man-made structure and shoot some silver gelatin? For people, like myself, those moments come rarely and should be cherished. For others they are graced with artistic tendencies more often.

Introducing THE PICTURE THEATRE.

The Picture Theatre is the humble mixed-media artistic collaboration of a duet of creative minds and their mysterious aliases. Basically a modest collection of embodied artistic brain matter, presented in a appealingly simplistic yet stylised blog format, TPT is everything you love about indie art minus everything that shits you about it. Talent is evidently prevalent and complimented by an understated desire to simply do something for love.
I look at The Picture Theatre as a place in cyberspace to unload creative baggage. I feel that the photographs capture a certain Australian vibe that I'm very attracted to, encompassing beach culture as a continuing, but not overdone, theme. The blog also includes experimental photography, gig write ups and a bunch of other goodies to have a snack on when you're feeling free and easy.
Have a look by clicking the link and keep your eyes on the prize and ears to the ground for updates and a soon to be online shop.

Yours truly, Pavement Journal
