FUTURES

The following is a very cool video I found amongst a (metaphorical) pile of some bizarre little videos on a Vimeo channel. Admittedly I haven't sifted through a lot of the stuff on IDEO on Vimeo yet but this one is alright. It's a optimistic future projection of New York City in the year 2030. I like some of the subtle special effects that have been used to demonstrate how technology will be integrated into our life. But most of all I love how this emphasis is on a trash free lifestyle and how simple changes over time can have dramatic positive effects on the future for everyone. In a densely populated hub like NYC, or any city for that matter, it is important to understand what we are facing in the future.
